PARADE OF NATIONS APPLICATION:

WHEN: Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm

WHERE: Cantey & Goodman Buildings, SC State Fairgrounds (across from the USC football stadium)

General Instructions: ​​

• It is an honor to participate in this parade and represent your nation. NO POLITICAL STATEMENT is to be made in the parade. Flag bearers are to walk in an orderly respectful manner.

• Please limit the number of parade participants representing your country up to 8 people.

• Saturday morning, a festival volunteer will come by your booth to confirm your participation and give you a numbered card marking your order in the parade.

• Please BE COURTEOUS and LISTEN to instructions given by Parade Coordinators.

• Participants could be on their feet for 30 – 45 minutes. The announcer will follow a master list of all participating nations. Following directions will to help maintain order.

• All participants should be dressed in national attire by 1:30 pm on Saturday.   

• By 1:45 pm Saturday, report to the Festival Office in the Cantey Building with your group and your flag carrier, and assemble in your assigned numerical parade order.

• Assigned festival volunteers will be holding ropes marking the parade area, and helping to maintain order.

• Once you reach the front of the stage, exit to your right to go back to your booth.
